Friends of St James is a secular charity whose purpose is to enable and finance the maintenance of the fabric of the lovely 12th century village church of St James in the quiet Worcestershire village of Bishampton.  We aim to promote its use for the whole village community for a variety of events.
We raise money via donations from ‘Friends’ (that’s you hopefully), by running events, and through securing grants from other organisations. 
Projects completed so far include installation of the heating system; insulating of the roof; construction of washroom and workspace facilities; re-opening of the North Door; installation of audio visual equipment; renewal of the paths around the church and servicing of the bells.


But, there is still much to do ...
